Do you use your Push in Chromatic or Scale mode most often?

I'm about 50/50 depending on phase so hard to pick either option here. I tend to use Chromatic for composition, but not only, and recording chords and Scale for recording melodies, unless I need to go out of the scale on some notes of course.

I'm not a terrific good keyboardplayer, so mostly I use scales.....

It depends on the track for me.. on songs that are more simplistic, I'll use the scales but for more complex and intricate songs, I'll use chromatic. Love to hear what everyone else is doing too..

Im not a professional keyboard player so scales helps me come up with new arrangements using the same finger positions I am use to but I switch often between scale/chromatic and I use my S61 more than Push with scales as it just feels much better to play a keyboard than pads.

I try to use Chromatic 100% of the time. Getting good with that really has it's benefits and it can translate into other instruments (Piano, Bass Guitar). Sometimes I'll use scales usually for finding the notes I need to learn in chromatic. But I think either method is impressive tbh

Chromatic, I tend towards a variation of the scale I'm in, or accidentals for the breaks, or just flat out a different scale, none of which lends itself to the single scale mode.

That and I use the notes mode almost exclusively with this atonal tube synth for live performance these days. I don't write much in Live anymore due to using CPU hungry sampler libraries and soft synths etc. That will change when I fully integrate Vienna Ensemble Pro though!
