I have read quite a bit on the differences and have the demos.
Not clear if the Addictive Drums midi beats are mostly beats and a bunch of variations of the beats or does each beat have intros, fills, endings, chorus, etc the way Ez Drummer does?
I want either software for songwriting and final production.

Just a heads up while most of ezdrummers stuff is good, some of their early expansions sound pretty poor so just look out for that when you buy them.
Re: Ez Drummer vs Addictive Drums Midi beats
thanks. do you mean the expanded kits of midi beats?
I have a boatload of kits on Ableton, so Im assuming I can route EZ to those somehow....?

I'm talking about the sound expansion libraries.
Unfortunately you can not use third party libraries which really sucks I know, so you're limited to what they have available (which are still fantastic bar the older packs).

If you want to use EZ2's midi with a third party drum library you can compose your midi track in EZ, drag it into your DAW, and assign it to the non-EZ kit.
I have both EZ and AD, and I prefer EZ2 for simplicity and ease of use.
