"Split Stereo Pan Mode" means proper stereo panning?

Anyone can verify if this new "Split Stereo Pan Mode" means you get proper stereo material panning in Live? What do you think about the implementation and technique in Live 10? This is sufficient?

If this is true stereo panning this is a pretty big feature that potentially changes your tracks for the better! (Yes, I know there already are free MFL devices that can help you with this)

Yes it gives you "proper" stereo panning.
I'm not personally really fond of the implementation, GUI-wise, but it's really flexible.
