Arrangement issues aand suggestions

Hello,

I have a few questions regarding Ableton 9.

1. In arrangement, when i start playback my playhead will skip back the amount of time indicated in the quantization menu. i.e. if it is set to 1 bar it play a bar then skip back and repeat the same bar. If it is set to 0 it will repat playback for a millisecond. How do i fix this issue? I have had this issue on multiple systems and previous versions of Live.

2. How do i effectively copy a looped section? Clicking copy in the loop bar does not work. I have to select all the tracks in a rather time consuming fashion.

3. When will nudge be introduced in arrangement window? (i consider this essential)

4. I would like to suggest introducing editing tools such as scissors as I personally think this would make editing easier and reduce the need for constant shortcuts and keyboard clicks. I also feel vertical track zoom could be improved.

5. Also when i open a midi region often random notes are highlighted which is confusing. Sometimes i get enraged by not knowing what i am looking at when i open a midi region. This needs improvement i feel.

First of all: learn the shortcuts. They are your friends. Your best friends. Much more so than any scissors will be at any time.

1. sounds like a corrupt project or program.

2. I agree there should be a shortcut for this (should be cmd+shift+c, like for regular duplication which is cmd+shift+d).

3. I don't know. I seem to remember I've done this though, with push/apc. I never use it myself.

4. See first comment. By the way cmd + b toggles scissors for some kinds of editing at least.

5. Again, sounds like a corrupt project. Maybe your default-project is corrupt (if you have other than the standard-default). Or you need to reinstall live.

It works when I do it in 9.7.3. Which version of Live are you using?
