I was reading this article https://www.google.com.au/amp/www.factm ... price/amp/ and it mentions that life 10 will be better at mapping controllers, it says: " You can use Max for Live to create your own custom control surfaces for external gear as well."

Does this imply it will be better at mapping?

I think the implication there is that now that we have sysex support coming, Live will be able to talk to external devices that don’t respond to standard midi CCs.
