Re: Live 9 Suite For Sale
I have no view on what is a good deal in this case. People should pay what they think something is worth, but considering a new Live suite license currently is about $599 (which I guess may include VAT if applicable) and that this includes the Live 10 update and we also assume you want to get some reward for risking more than buying from Ableton then the current price, subtracting the 2nd hand discount you want as well as the Live 10 upgrade price, would put you in a price range that would seem reasonable to pay.BURN-ADDiCT wrote:This is a very great deal... too bad I can't afford even at this mercy listingbcgreen wrote:I'm selling Ableton Live Suite 9 for $300
This simple formula looks like this:
The current price of a new license
- The Live 10 upgrade price from the version you intend to purchase as Live 9
- Any relevant deduction for buying second hand
= The reasonable price
I'm mentioning this as many seem to forget to factor in the Live 10 upgrade price and deduct that as this is paid for when buying a new license now.

Re: Live 9 Suite For Sale
You bring a strong point. But the OP is still reasonable imo. My only problem is, I currently have almost $218 only to my name and that doesn't help in my attempts to get a Suite license. On the contrary, I just found someone selling a Suite license for $225 and I'm currently pursuing thatStromkraft wrote:This simple formula looks like this:

Yes, the two step cost is a plus for a second hand license. It may also be that a new user may not primarily interested in upgrading to 10.BURN-ADDiCT wrote:My only problem is, I currently have almost $218 only to my name and that doesn't help in my attempts to get a Suite license.
