I need this device...
I need this device...
Dear friends,
Here is a very nice device called "Pushianist" by Loptimist.
It displays pitch output in the grand staff.
However, I don't need the rest of that device. I need just score display, as above.
Another problem with "Pushianist" is CPU strikes when played some quick notes. It gets very heavy.
Perhaps, a more simple device would avoid that.
So, I have tried to edit that device in Max to get only the score output, but I messed everything up without success. Anyone knows how?

Thank you.doubleUG wrote: the display is the object "nslider"
I have finally get working signal through, BUT unfortunately this patch take in account all MIDI information, so I get some very crazy results (for instance velocity: when I press hard the pitch is high, and opposite, but I keep repeating the same key!).
What to do more?

Look at the MIDIPARSE object, it divide the MIDI into it's relevant elements...

Thank you. That worked well. But unfortunatelly I get only one note at time. No chord display is possibleS4racen wrote: Look at the MIDIPARSE object, it divide the MIDI into it's relevant elements...
I would love to know better coding in Max, but at the present time it is not sufficient to solve this, perhaps for some, an easy task.
