Workaround for running Ableton Live 10 on Yosemite?

People have had some luck running on 10.9.5, but how about 10.10.5? I understand there are only performance issues, not true compatibility problems. Would like to upgrade this one app without having to upgrade my entire OS. Thanks!!

Did you ever get an answer on this? I am also on 10.10.5 and still on Live 8. I would like to upgrade to 10 but also leery. I have not had luck finding a used copy of Live 9.

I will not be upgrading my OSX either since my Pro Tools 11 stops at 10.10.
