Hi
Just bought the Sh-01a and with all its advertising about audio over USB, I thought, great I'll hook it up that way, saving an audio input. How wrong was I!
To use the SH audio over USB, it has to be selected as the audio driver within Live, which means not being able to use my Saffire audio interface for the purpose it is intended because now the SH is the interface, I can only hear what is playing in Live through the SH. Very pointless is it not?
Now I know you can create an aggregate audio driver on a Mac, but you cannot on Windows easily. But is this not Roland droping the ball here, as lucky for me I have a spare audio input on my Saffire, but for others who don't and are misled into thinking they can simply plug and pay, its a total let down.
Anyway rant over, my question is this, is anybody using a TR-08 or TR-09 with the ability to have the 10 audio channels over usb into Live but with the above restrictions?
I was considering getting one because of the ability to record each individual channel, but not if it has to be used as a sound card like I have mentioned, as for me it would be pointless.
Thanks in advance
