Push 2 Travel Bag/Case + 15" MBP
Push 2 Travel Bag/Case + 15" MBP
I'm going to be on the road a lot in the next few months and I'd like to take my Laptop (MacBook Pro 15") and the Push2 along with me. It'd be great if there was a bag that could contain both and some extras (like external hdd, power adapter and some cables etc)
Can anyone recommend one?

I've travelled a lot with the current ableton laptop bag which was holding push ,2 laptop, ipad, cables and connectors. It can be taken on as standard hold luggage too. It has two compartments which are good for usb type cables, adapters and hd's. Check the ableton shop.

Is it sturdy enough to be protective? It looks pretty thin.irrelevance wrote:I've travelled a lot with the current ableton laptop bag which was holding push ,2 laptop, ipad, cables and connectors. It's barely padded at all IMO. Good for quick trips across town, but I wouldn't want to do a lot of travelling with it personally.

The velcro is crap. 8 months in, it failed, and my MBPro fell out 2 feet while pulling it out of the car. I tried my best to maintain the Velcro by cleaning it on a monthly basis, and there was no dirt or residue in there.
It would be a great bag if it actually did it's job.

IMO there is no better stuff for that purpose.
If you get a bag for a 17 inch notebook, there´s a seperate bag included.
That fits perfectly for your push.
And for your MBP, you can get one of this sexy neopren covers from the same brand.
Everything fits nicely in one of these bags and there´s still spare space left.
It is not the cheapest solution, but something with a lifetime guaranty
It protected my equipment perfectly for almost one decade traveling in Asia!

If you want rugged you don't buy a soft carry case imho. I personally travelled across western australia, thailand, malaysia and singapore by road, air and sea. My push 2, laptop and volca are still in great condition. The only problem I have with satchel type bags like this is the strain on the shoulder and back can get to you if carrying for long periods. Don't believe what Jenko says (21 jump street reference) one strapping may be cool but...

Asics Commuter Bag works fine for me.
* It's cheap (around 50$)
* It's water-resistant (include water-resistant zips)
* It has enough space for Push2 (personally I use UDG case for extra protection - still fits)
* It has protected section for laptops. (15' macbook and thicker PC laptops)
* It has solid and ergonomic straps (quite important for such heavy gear)
* It has pretty good combination of pockets (large side pocket for A4 papers and top pocket for wires)
* Looks modern and nice

Personally I'm so glad about this purchase - it totally fits for my needs.

It's worth checking if there is a bespoke flight case manufacturer in your location. They often also make bags from super strong nylon.
