an audio pool window
To show all audio files that are referenced in your project, and also display their disk locations, date, and other details

I like the idea in general. Somehow I never liked cubases implementation of this though, I don't know why ...it just always bugged me.
I'm sure ableton could do it better, although I've not been convinced by the Ableton browser, additionally the 'find missing file' implementation is weak compared to Kontakt (for example) So perhaps they wouldn't do this very well!
I imagine them producing a pane that simply lists names of samples and nothing else!
