I literally upgraded from 9 solely in the hope that this insane bug - the inability to export video - would be fixed but I still cannot render video in any format. While exporting it hangs at 99% after the first pass forever (well, I gave up and forced quit after 20 minutes).
I reduced the track count to just one single audio track (an audio file, not even MIDI) aside from the video track but it can't handle it. Super frustrating and a huge waste of time. In 9 I was able to at least get it to work about 50% of the time, which is terrible but at least there was some success.
Is video totally dead or is there a workaround for this issue?

I have no issues exporting video from Live 10.luxxury wrote:

You do leave out what format and settings you used in your export and what these are in your source video. Or what you have done with it.
I do feel Ableton have not communicated very well about the fact their video support in Live relies heavily on QuickTime related and OS technologies — at least it did in version 9. The fact is that when problems occur during exporting the culprit could very well be found in the interaction with these lower level video technologies.
The video function in Live could certainly be improved upon, but I feel it shouldn't be a priority. Ableton will decide what to prioritize though.

I've never had any video export problem either, but it is known that some osx users are having issues.
I can't never remember what the problem is, but guess what?

Re: Exporting Video in 10 still crashes
Hi!
I've solved it at least for me. The bit rate and the sample rate was the key. Both video and audio must be the same otherwise it crashes. But it only worked for 16 bit setting in my case. When I tried 24 bit it crashes again but I guess it might be because of the source audio was already 16 bit so it makes sense.
Hope that helps!

This solved crashing for me in live 9, I was trying to output the audio at 24 bit and video at 16 bit, and changing this stopped it from crashing, thank you!JohnyRainbow wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 8:48 amHi!
