A way to open plugin other than the wrench !!!!!!
The only way to open a plugin is the wrench .
It is the only way
Can we PLEASE have another way ? Like in bitwig u can open it from the insert slots in the mixer.
Key command could be great. Also custom key commands.

I suggest Alt-P as Cmd/Ctrl-Alt-P hides/shows already open plug-in windows. The former which would open the currently selected plug-in/device.yonhorizon wrote:The only way to open a plugin is the wrench .

Already open but hidden, not previous and only mentioned this to illustrate the context of my short cut suggestion for your feature request. It was not an instead of idea.yonhorizon wrote:Dont want to open previous window.

There is currently no way to open a plugin window other than the Wrench. It has been requested quite often tho.
You CAN hide an open plugin window as you have said using CMD + ALT + P
The SUGGESTION was if Ableton would be so kind as to let us open the selected channels plugin window, using a combination such as ALT + P could work.
Things to consider tho would be how you actually select "what" to open when you may have a plugin within a drum rack or several within an instrument rack. If you need to focus with a mouse first, you may as well just click the button. Then there are FX windows, how could you select these to open without using the mouse?

In my copy of Live alt-p does nothing yet, which is why I suggested your request could be implemented by Ableton with that or something similar.yonhorizon wrote:Thank you for your time.
