Problem with mt.Sev max device

I am trying to run the generative device mt.Sev in Live.
I have the full recent version of Live and Max and put mt.Sev in a midi track with operator after it.
Whatever I do I get no action from it and it can't determine if it is running or not.

Are there maybe some settings that might be wrong? Other max devices seem to run fine like the convoluted reverb.
I have tried all the troubleshooting advice in the manual and both with or without my Push2.

You need to select at least one note visible and having started the transport. Assuming you have an working instrument following it to get played.

Do you mean a note in the first clip? If i put a note in the first clip on that track... that note will be heard in the operator instrument after the mt.Sev.
But no output from mt.Sev seems to go into that instrument... how strange. Any other idea?

No, a note in mt.sev. On page 3 of the manual you see a graphic with an overview and it's the 2nd section that you see below I'm talking about.

Yes, I have a couple of notes selected in the mt.Sev interface... still no midi out.... weird.

Thanks for the image. I think the default is that mt.Sev is silenced if you play a clip. So stop the clip in that track and it should work.

Thank you for referring to this generative device. I just made a new song idea from playing with it for 15 minutes.
