jump to different tracks In Arrangement view

Post by danny klim » Tue Jul 10, 2018 11:09 pm

Hi, i just programmed midi buttons to select all of my tracks so that I can quickly jump around to different tracks without searching or scrolling. It works great for session view, but not arrangement view. In Arrangement view, it selects the track and highlights the track, but it doesn’t move the screen at all to show the track if the track isn’t already visible on the screen.

Is there any way to make it so that the screen moves in arrangement view when I select a track via midi? Or is there any other way to quickly move the screen to show the selected track in arrangement view?

Thanks

You can use Z.

So select a clip, press Z it will zoom in and to zoom out press shift Z

Thank you. This doesn't work for me, the screen does not move at all when I hit Z. Also, I want to move to a selected track, not a clip. So that i can use a midi button to select a track then quickly 'jump' to it so that i can see it on my screen. Any other ways?

No which is stupid.

I noticed this back in Live 8 when I first got my MCU. I found navigate tracks and select them no worries on the hardware but lives arrangement window did not follow the selection so if it was outside the window area it would not move into focus.
