Hotcues for different views
Hotcues for different views
Hi,
as the arrangements go a bit messy from time to time I was wondering the followi g things:
Is there a way to reduce the height of groups when folded? The more tracks grouped the heigher the folded groups get. Pretty annoying.
2. Can I save / define hotcues for different views (e.g. hotcue 1 = everything folded except busses, hotc 2 = everything folded except drums etc)?

ClyphX Pro - VZOOM ALL -100 ; "Drums"/SEL ; WAIT 2 ; VZOOM 10
Which assuming you have a track called drums would collapse all tracks and then expand the Drums track...

You'll find details in the View Section of the manual.

Re: Hotcues for different views
Hi for the first one you simple drag the group hight up and down or hit S to fold them all
But yeah if you have say 30 tracks in there it does need the space to show the clips.

There's a fully detailed manual and plenty of videos to get you started on the page, once you're into it you'll wonder how you managed without...

Re: Hotcues for different views
It does look quite complicated. I suppose there is a way to predefine everything in my live template?
Ideally I would have 8 keys (maybe even on a seperate keyboard) which allow me to "fold" every group and track except... so that I can keep overview fast and easy. I guess there are even more hotcues that might be worth defining but for now this is the most urgent. On their website I saw that is also allows automatic presetswitching.
Really interesting.

Re: Hotcues for different views
Thanks for the commands. What is happening if there are tracks with the same name (like hihat and hihat for example)? Will both be treated equally?
Re: Hotcues for different views
You should always name you tracks differently.

Re: Hotcues for different views
But I will be able to chose groups as well? In some cases in Live selecting groups isnt possible whereas selecting tracks is possible.
Re: Hotcues for different views
i believe the groups are affected by the track type. so you cannot create a group with audio and and MIDI tracks.
i could be wrong... i don't believe i've tried since Live 7. but effects and plugins would be hard to handle if you could as some would not work on certain tracks in the group.

Re: Hotcues for different views
you can group audio and midi together in live 10, also groups within groups.
Re: Hotcues for different views
cool. sorry to muddy the waters then. hope you get it sorted out.
Re: Hotcues for different views
So how can I connect a key on my computer keyboard to an action in clyphx?
Re: Hotcues for different views
I am also struggleing with the command. Even when put into a clip nothing happens
Re: Hotcues for different views
If you mean ClyphX Pro then theres a forum to ask questions on, for ClyphX though your on your own as it\s no longer supported.
