What would be your workflow, and what controller would you be using ? Could you please describe the issue more precisely ?
If you need to look at the screen to scroll through your clips, drag'n'drop shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for your answer.

I am using a costumized version of TomCosm's DJ Megaset 2.0 in combination with abortion push and a DJ controller.

There are tracks, which are only used as a database for all the songs I want to play. I have to drag and drop them manually from the data base tracks to the "DJ Decks". To have a application for browse through the database and move a audio clip from one track to one of the DJ Decks with ableton push would be grate.
I'm thinking of using push's user mode for that.

But I think to realize that I have to go into scripting instead of max for live....

It seems doable with M4L, but how would you browse the files ? With Push ?
You don't want to touch the computer at all ? You'd need a screen to display clip names at least.

Yes. You got it. Not touching the computer is the goal.

First goal is to hack push is to hack the screen of push's user mode by editing the midi remote script.
Second goal is to build my one controller with a screen to get independ of push and have a full costomized soft and hardware for my needs.

This will probably cost less than the time and money spent on developing this....

wait, you want to copy clips from one track to another... and you're using push?
why don't you simple use the duplicate button? Press and hold the duplicate button, then hit the clip you want to copy and the place where u want to paste it.
if you're no longer sure which clip is which and you're to trigger it then press and hold select and hit the pad with the clip to view its name/content.
if you have a huge list of clips then maybe you could simply browser them with the browse button?...
maybe I missed your point, it seems very straight forward to me.

I don't own Push (any more) so I was not aware of this.
