A useful tool for drum samples

Back in my Logic Pro X days I downloaded Regroover but didn't really get on with it and put it to one side. Now that I'm using Ableton Live and have a new found love and curiosity about samples, I decided to revisit Regroover.

I loaded it up and set it loose on one of my more exotic D'n'B drum loops. It analysed and separated out the various parts of the loop very nicely but, of course, when I came to try to save the invidual samples, it told me that I needed the Pro version, and that my free Essentials edition couldn't do it.

Ableton Live to the rescue! I was able to play each element by soloing it, and using Live's ability to record the audio output from one track into another track, I ended up with four neatly separated out tracks!

For all I know there may be a way to do this within Live itself, but I thought this was pretty cool!
