Push 1 problem browsing plugin presets

I read this article here on how to browse 3rd party plugin presets with push 1

However it just doesnt work for me. I use a plugin that does expose its presets to Live 10 - I select the device, and then I press browse as it says to do here, which enters hotswap mode, however my push just returns me to the folder browser where I selected the plugin but there are no presets displayed to select. I have tried with a few plugins that all do expose their presets to Live.

Has anyone else had this problem? I feel i must be doing something wrong but no idea what

Only some VSTs (not many) support direct browsing of their presets through the host for a start.

For second, the info page you linked to says this:

VST plug-in presets (Push 2 only)

Depending on your plugin there are some packs around that have all the presets saved into Ableton Racks that will work with Push 1.
