Help - Reverb from 0-100 when note playing played?

Post by DanChristian » Wed Jan 30, 2019 2:40 pm

Hey I was wondering if anyone knew how to Make a Reverb play 100% as soon as the note plays then it completely drops off to 0 when the note has been played?

I've been trying todo it with an LFO and Macro but it's not consistant and random as shown ->

Like I want the Reverb to play when the note is being played at 100% then drop off completly to 0% then jump back to 100% when the next note is being played and so on?

You don’t want an LFO for this. Maybe an audio envelope follower. Or a max midi effect that does envelopes at key trigger.

try the "Expression Control" device from the Core Library. You can map the Velocity to the Dry/Wet of the reverb
copy the text, open Live > drag in empty M4L device > open Max editor > paste > save M4L device

i'd go an extra step here just to avoid any clicks and zipper noise you get when modulating the wet/dry on the reverb device:

– rack up a reverb on its own chain (100% wet)
– add an empty 'dry' chain
– set up a chain crossfade
– map the chain selector to the Expression device.
