Can HEAR the recorded clip, but can't SEE it.

Hi, I'm trying to record vocals through my computer's built in microphone. When I do so, I can hear the audio play back to me but there is no clip created on the track for me to edit. Basically the track is empty but my vocals are playing from somewhere lol...

I have reviewed countless articles but can't find my solution, anyone know what's up?

Also let me note that i have the input/output settings correct and have the arm record button selected. Everything looks as it should.

You need to check these settings first:

Then be sure not to click the arrangement record button but the session record button lined in red on top. Be also sure mic 1 is selected as well record enable.
