Import wav files in to midi sequences

Post by jamesf1982 » Tue Feb 05, 2019 11:41 am

Hi there,

I have some drum samples in .wav format. I'm wondering if it is possible to use them on a midi track so that I can sequence them using the note editor. I only have ableton lite 10 and can't find any info on how to get a wav in to the midi format so I can use it to sequence drums. Do I need the full version of ableton to do this or am I missing something?

Thanks!

Rightly so.

But you have access to Simpler and Drum Racks. That's where your samples would end up using Live's drums to midi algorithm anyway.

Be your own algorithm.
