Renee for Push7maxforlive?
I really liked Dr Chaos from the probability pack. First sequencer that has a cool Push implementation. Where could I find someone interested in doing some sort of 'Renee' (Make Noise) adaptation to M4l and Push? That would be too dope to have something like this...

I've made one, not for Push but for Monome Grid, a few years ago. I could dig in my hard drives.
It's quite a free adaptation more than a replica, though.

There are several questions when adapting René. I'm not sure that you are familiar with the actual module but (assuming you're talking about v1) :
- How would you clock X and Y inputs ? (I chose to integrate an X/Y sequencer in the device, but there is also the option of a MIDI note dedicated for X and Y, and maybe reset, etc...)
- How would you deal with gate out ? There are two gate outs on René.
- How would you manage note length ?
etc, etc....

BTW, it's "René", not "Renée" : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cog7vYXTHIo

Re: Renee for Push7maxforlive?
Well guys,
thanks for your answers. I am not necessarily talking about cv-outs. It would be cool to at least have the cartesian idea to trigger midi/pitch for audio instruments in Ableton at least. I know only v1 of the module.
Monome is dope too, I know. (btw: is there some sequencer for push that works similar?)
Best,
Lars

Re: Renee for Push7maxforlive?
I thought first about a combination of the Push matrix buttons for the touch pads of the René. Pitch, gate, etc. could be set with the encoders on different pages. Cartesian sequencing within the DAW would be priceless, selecting different snake patterns, spontaneous changes of sequence length using the button matrix, muting certain steps, etc... There would be so many options.

Re: Renee for Push7maxforlive?
This still doesn't answer the questions on how to generate note ons/offs.
René outputs a gate with both input triggers X and Y. So should they be merged ? Split into two virtual MIDI channels ?
There is already a Snake version of René somewhere in the itnernet made by valiumdupeuple if I'm not mistaken.
Monome is not a sequencer, it's a brand that produce generic controllers amongst other things.
As for Push, I can't stand it so don't count on me to do anything with it. But hopefully someone will. It's quite surprising that none can be found yet.

Re: Renee for Push7maxforlive?
Thanks again,
you're right about the gate outs of course. I was mainly thinking about the snake patterns in association with sending pitch...
Anyways, I will do research about it...

L.
