Sampler question

Does anyone use the full version of Sampler in Live?

I have a question if so.. I'm thinking of buying it.. however, I need to know if it does anything like the latch option from samplers of old.

I watched the preview video on Ableton's site and it looks like there's some sustain options..

I tend to write a lot of ambient pieces and what i really need to do is hit the key(s) and have it loop indefinitely. I used to use the latch option on other samplers to do this with.

I'm using simpler right now and dropping in an hour long note I made for just this reason I'd rather just deal with it as looping audio rather than midi data.

If your question is "can I create a loop point for a sample (or collection of samples) with sampler" then yes you can. It's like one of the main reasons it exists.
