Taking MIDI effects and Arpeggiator to the next level

Post by marra » Thu Mar 28, 2019 8:57 pm

Been playing around with Arpeggiator on chords lately, and while it's a lot of fun, it gets a bit boring after a while as the notes just go up and down in the same pattern.

Is there a way to switch things up a little, e.g. playing the upper and lower parts of the chords non-arpeggiated at a different rate like:

Or perhaps a non-arpeggiated lower part with an arpeggiated upper part like:

I do have a MIDI keyboard and all that, just looking for a way to do this using only Live.

Thanks!

You can use Chains and Key Zones in a MIDI Effect Rack to have an Arpeggiator only in a selected keyboard range.
