Clyphx Pro Navigate scenes jump/goto

Post by Razzkazz » Fri May 03, 2019 9:41 am

I am new to using Clyphx Pro, but not Ableton Live, I and am looking for a way to quickly navigate a very large set in session view. Using clyphx pro (or any other method, but not M4L) is there a way to navigate scenes. I know I can use MIDI or Key input but am looking for an alternative. It can involve those but not in the traditional way, where you have to do a lot of assigning.

Something like;

Jump to scene "name"
Go up/down "x" number of scenes
Goto a specific colour
...or something I am not thinking of!

Thanks

Ok thanks. Still digesting the manual. Just to be clear, I don't want to have to create a clip for every scene I want to jump to (could be up to 50), ideally I need a couple of clips that I can assign MIDI/Key control to that jump to specific scenes, or jump by a certain number of scenes.

Thanks

[] SCENE SEL X where X is the number or name of the scene....

You can trigger these by any of the Trigger actions not just Clip Names....

There is only the ability to select based on the above, there isn't a scene up or down command, you can acheive that via MIDI....

Great thanks, I will experiment with that, and spend more time reading the manual :)

I ended up creating 2 marcos, one each for up and down. I just repeated the words X amount of times ie for up;

$up$ = up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up;up

So every time I trigger that clip with a key command the page jumps up 30 scenes.

Probably not the most elegant method but it works.

Another cool thing I figured out is by having "[] down" in every scene I am using with the same follow action as the clips in the rest of the set I can keep the playing scene in the centre of the screen, rather than it eventually disappearing off the screen due to the follow actions I am using (very large set).

So thanks. It was easy in the end, I thought I was going to have to open a Python can of worms :D
