What 'instead'?

You can give your "-million", but it doesn't help people who want to see the pitches inside of Live. I am a composer of instrumental and vocal music and this is crucial for me. I see not for you.
In your opinion, less possibilities - is welcomed?

There are plenty of notation software. We don't need a notation software here.

many people here seem to hate score editors because the can't read standard notation.
believe me: it is easy to learn when you have a score editor (like learning to read the piano roll editor).

a score editor is helpful in many ways. not for exact note length (which is better in piano roll) but better for chord recognition and comparing different tracks. easier to detect wrong notes, edit pitch and add accoustic instruments.

there's no need to make a notation program out of live. no print etc... but a score editor! for editing! interactive! very helpful!
Those that don't need it can ignore it. We don't use every function in Live.

Totally agree that a score editor in music notation would be very useful.

For me the most crucial is when composing for choir, strings or so, it is difficult on Push to know what tones are played. The visualization of notation gives you a clue, and it is a very useful tool to control what tones are out of range or in a "extreme" or "difficult" range.
