Hello.
I just got an Akai LPK 25 keyboard. However, it only registers about four keys. Does anyone know how to make the full use of the keyboard? I've searched all over the internet for a solution but can't find a resolution.
Thank you.
MIDI Keyboard issues
Re: MIDI Keyboard issues
Do you have a MIDI monitor app on your computer? You can use that to confirm that the LPK is sending note messages for all keys across all octaves.

Does that mean only 4 of the notes seem to work when you press them? However, it only registers about four keys.
If you press keys that do not produce sound and cast your eyes to the top right of the live window, do you see the MIDI activity indicators blink?
YES: You have activity going in so could be a case of the instrument you are using isn't responding to the other notes or those notes are mapped to functions in Live for some reason (CTRL+M to see your MIDI Mappings)
NO: If you see activity for some notes but nothing for others then either there may be an issue with the keyboard, some setting that needs to be defaulted or the MIDI driver. One test would be to use the keyboards transpose and shift the keybed range and try again and if suddenly the keys work in a different register then there is nothing physically wrong.
