Live 10 isn't seeing my MIDI keyboard
Live 10 isn't seeing my MIDI keyboard
When I plug in my M Audio keyboard, Live 10 does not see it in the "Link MIDI" section of preferences. There are no inputs at all. What is causing this.

Re: Live 10 isn't seeing my MIDI keyboard
the keyboard probably requires a driver.
Re: Live 10 isn't seeing my MIDI keyboard
Thanks. But this working a few weeks back. The only difference is I tried installing some instruments from my M Audio keyboard which may have screwed something? If I install directx will it fix it? (I'm in Windows 10)
Only other change was that I applied a windows update.

Before blindly installing things to fix the issue, you need to know what the issue is.
If you go into device manager of your computer do you see your keyboard listed or anything that is not recognized?
Could try a reinstall of drivers. Sometimes that can just fix the issue.

Thanks. Nothing in Device manager for the keyboard.
The Keyboard is plug and play and M-Audio don't even offer the chance to reinstall drivers:-

I installed ASIO driver and switched to this in Live, but whether I use ASIO or DirectX there is no option in the Preferences/Audio/Audio Device dropdown for my keyboard.

Re: Live 10 isn't seeing my MIDI keyboard
I guess because it is a midi controller......... Look under the controller list in the midi tab, and see if it is there.

Re: Live 10 isn't seeing my MIDI keyboard
And if not, your latest update of Windows ruled out the use of this keyboard........
Some things ain't last forever, and maybe you can try to contact M-Audio about this, as it is related to the keyboard. What type and make is it? Maybe that's easier for us to help.

Re: Live 10 isn't seeing my MIDI keyboard
Just read the article of M-Audio and saw what type it was. It is in your list of control surfaces under Oxygen 4th gen. Try that one for a start.

Re: Live 10 isn't seeing my MIDI keyboard
Yes did that before and there was an option to then select the Oxygen 61 keyboard, but that option has disappeared and there is only outputs available in the section below
Re: Live 10 isn't seeing my MIDI keyboard
So you say, you cannot choose any controller, or just the Oxygen 61? If you can choose controllers, take Oxygen gen 4 or 4th gen.
Otherwhise I would not know beside that Ableton Live is corrupt by not letting to choose from any controller that is.

Re: Live 10 isn't seeing my MIDI keyboard
Just looked in Ableton, and there is an option, at least in my Ableton, to choose Oxygen 49 61 as it is marked there.
On what version of Live are you anyway? ie.: number and intro, standard or suite.
