best mac os for 9.7.7 or 10.x, M4L, push2

Post by jimdw » Wed Jul 10, 2019 9:07 pm

hi all,

currently running live 9.7 suite w M4L, max and push2 on OS 10.11.2. need to upgrade OS. also planning to upgrade to live 10 at some point but ideally waiting for next promo, and OS upgrade needs to happen now due to issues with macbook.

i checked system requirements but would love feedback about what's working well for fellow users.

* if staying at 9.7 for now, is OS 10.13 a good, stable OS overall and does it play well with live, M4L, max console, push2?
**and would OS 10.13 work well with everything when i upgrade to live 10?

* if going to live 10, is OS 10.14 the best choice and better than 10.13 in terms of overall OS quality and playing well with live, M4L, max console, push2?

* anything else to consider?

thanks so much for any info and help,

jim / no shore

Live 10.1 + the latest Mojave update are working very well for me (2015 MBP Retina).

The initial Mojave release caused some problems for some USB audio on 2018 Macs with the T2 chip but Apple seem to have fixed that with OS updates.

Stay on El Capitan as long as possible.
