Setting Fixed Channel Numbers

Post by TommyMerk » Mon Jul 22, 2019 12:12 am

I'm looking for some help on how to set a channel number in Live to always be a certain number and remain there? Eg. I have an Arturia Keylab 61 Keyboard, and when it is in "User" mode it is automatically mapped to the Drum Rack but it has to be on Channel 10. I would like a way to drop a Drum Rack on Channel 10 and save that as my template without it moving even if I add or remove channels before it. Anyone know if this is possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, the issue I am having is not figuring out how to save it as a template. I just want my drum rack to be assigned to channel #10 and remain that no matter if I add channels before or after. Right now, if I add a channel before the drum rack, it will shift it to be channel #11 and my keylab pads will no longer be mapped to my drum rack (as it has to be on channel 10).

The picture shown first is how to set it to be a template. Go to options, select preferences and follow the picture.

In your channel you have to select channel 10, I tried it to add channels to the left of the channel 10 channel, and it stays on channel 10.

Chime in if you need more help!
