Since when did a user solving their own problem get in the way of a good story.

Not to hijack the thread, but here's my experience as a Windoze user with CPU in Live 10.
I'm on Win7, i7 Quad core @2.4ghz, 16gb RAM with a NVIDIA GPU. It's a 2012 Lenovo thinkpad - yeah, getting old.
All versions of Live 10 have randomly given me CPU spikes when using my regular Live set (no clips, lots of effects and a bunch of VST instruments + bridged VSTs). Sometimes things are OK and then after undetermined amounts of time I get spikes. I have a couple of loopers running and a bunch of delays that often get put into freeze mode - so maybe there's a conflict with the CPU dealing with holding the loops while being asked to do other things?
I have tried a bunch of solutions that people have posted here - such as not running Live on an external monitor or not using a zoomed GUI view. Plus I usually make sure antivirus is disabled and internet disabled. I also run Process Lasso at highest performance level.
GPU incompatibility could be an issue. I always assumed using the discrete GPU would be more efficient. Bridging VSTs can be iffy and also uses more CPU. Will try Integrated Graphics next.

Let's talk about CPU,
let's talk about me and you,
let's talk about all the good things
and the bad things (are they true?)
let's talk about it!

Had some dropouts during live sets lately... Not great. I also got a new soundcard lately, so trying to work out if it's that or the latest Ableton update
