Turn off Control Surface auto detection

Post by arteleis » Tue Sep 03, 2019 5:24 am

Anyone know how to turn off abletons control surface auto detect?
Would like it off and then save the control surfaces I've chosen with my set so when I boot up a particular config with different controllers, it's as I've saved it.
Currently using multiple Daws and they all want to auto detect controllers so is a pain in the ass everytime I start a session.

Any help appreciated.

Unless there is some trickery with Max, control surfaces are a global setting and cannot be setup on a per project basis.

It can somehow, by using midi mapping.

Sorry, I meant having specific control surfaces being active for different projects. I assumed he wanted to have a heap of different controllers connected but only have certain ones (different) for each project loaded. As far as I know (which is only surface deep) that's not possible to do but I could have misunderstood the question.

Running bitwig as well.
So don't want Ableton to detect the bitwig controllers every time we start our jam.

Looks like though might be able to just delete the controller scripts that I don't want to use in Ableton that I use in bitwig.
Going to try this as a work around.
