I've been using Massive X within Windows/Ableton with no crash problems. I think there has been one update (1.01) so make sure that is there. A new update (1.1 I think) is supposed to be coming soon, and it is needed for sure.

One big problem is that if you do stuff like duplicate a track or save and then reopen the file, even if you are just using a factory preset, Massive X shows it as "User" (maybe sometimes "Init") and so you don't actually know which preset you were using (or starting from if you were modding). So make sure to label any Massive X tracks with the preset you're using, unless you're building from scratch.
