envelope curves

Post by jbible » Tue Sep 27, 2005 1:55 pm

I know this has been said before and I think I have even said this...but I think it deserves a reminder.

Probably the most important feature missing from live and the only thing I was disapointed not seeing in Live 5 is an Envelope Curves tool and maybe some envelope curves templates for different synced envelope wavform automation.

I can imagine when it is implemented it will be quite nice being done the Ableton way.

Absolutely! I've spent too much time drawing them. I'd love to see an interface similar to Live's Pan effect, but with the capability of precise editing and MIDI thinning.

Until Live incorporates Bézier CC drawing tools and thinning, Plogue Bidule is the next best thing, and now it can be used as a track plug-in to generate CC data on the fly without using the VST bridge.

I'd really like to see this too, some way to reduce the ammount of smoothing of recorded automation would also be welcome.

And horizontal /vertical invert.

And why not a random envelope generator.
Or perhaps draw it from loading a waveform...

Yummy..
