Laptop/Push swing arm

Post by Gregory Wells-King » Wed Dec 18, 2019 9:03 am

I’m considering buying a laptop swing arm to mount my push on, because of studio configuration.

Can any one suggest a good solid and useable one to buy, ? from experience.

Cheers in advance.

https://www.amazon.com/Monitor-Stand-Ke ... 78&sr=8-16

Have four of these in my studio, and can't live without them. $45 each. Some might think they're a little shaky, but they totally get the job done.

ill.Gates suggested velcroing the bottom of your midi controllers and just mounting them to the Vesa plates, instead of getting another tray. I like the trays, though.

I also have a tall one from Amazon for a 32" 2k display... it's stable... doesn't budge. All of these mount to the edge of a desk or table. I have them mounted to an IKEA linmon tabletop and matching legs. Cheap, effective, modular desk setup. Love it.

Hope this helps!

(it irritates me when people don't reply with some advice... I've seen a lot of Youtubers with these kinds of things on their desks)

You could also go the stronger, gas-powered route...

With the one above, and most of them, you'd need to buy a separate Vesa mount laptop tray. Usually only $15-20 extra. Vivo has some solid stuff.

These are for displays usually but note how horizontal they can get. Really nice. Sometimes they can't get low enough though, which could be a problem... certainly look around. Again, hope this helps!
