Ableton not opening (13" MacBook Pro 2019)

Hello, I recently bought a MacBook Pro for my schooling and naturally was looking to download and authorize another version of Ableton Live 9 Suite onto it. I went onto my Ableton account and click download for the 64 bit version and I go through the installer, dragging It into the applications folder. As I go to then open the application to finish setup/authorisation I soon find out that it just isn't booting up. It is strange because in the dock it will go up and down and then sit with a dot signalling that it would be open. I've tried reinstalling it, restarting my laptop, letting it load for over 20 mins but nothing seems to be working. Any help is much appreciated thanks

You're on mac os Catalina, right?

Anyway to make it simple, Live 9 doesn't support mac os Catalina.
You either need to downgrade your system (which I presume is not possible anymore with recent macs unfortunately) or upgrade to Live 10.
