.wav used in the piano roll

Post by adambwhitten » Fri Apr 17, 2020 10:35 pm

I'm pretty new to Abelton. Former FL Studio user. I've got a sound pack loaded in my "Places" section of Abelton. When I create a Midi Track and try dragging a ".wav" file to it, it won't allow me to use the sound on that track. It makes me convert to drums, melody, or harmony. When I convert to harmony / melody the sound changes drastically (aka on an 808), when I convert it to a drum the track just gets converted to a random drum pack.

Hopefully someone can help me out with this.

Thanks!

Adam.

use Sampler or Simpler for your midi track and drag your .wav to the Sampler or Simpler device
