Morning all! I'm having some issues organising my Places and was wondering if anyone has had the same issue on Live 10. Basically I'm fed up with having all of my Ableton Presets / Clips in one file structure and all of my samples in another, and want to consolidate both to one 'Places' location per sound type (Eg; Drums, Basses etc).
I know that saving Presets / Clips outside of the Ableton Library is not a wise move, so thought I would create an 'Alias' to my (for example) 'Bass clips' folder in my Library, then put this in my 'Bass' folder in my sample library and add this 'Bass' folder as a 'Place' on Live. Therefore in theory I would be able to get to all of my 'Bass' content in one place.
I have tried this out but found that even after removing and re-adding the folder as a Place and restarting Live I cannot get the alias folder to appear in the Places folder. Has anyone else had this issue and is there a workaround? I would prefer not to use the colour tags as I'm currently using those for VST types. Any help or advice welcome
