[SOLVED] "Live Unexpectedly quit..." message for no reason
Each time I open Live, the "crash" message even though I had no crash. Even if I close Ableton immediately after opening it, I get the crash message each time.
How do I get this removed?

I'd guess it's a plug in causing this, so I'd try removing them one by one from your plug in folder until you find the culprit. Or at least rule out plug ins.

Are you up-to-date?
You could try thrashing Live's preferences.

I'm opening LIVE "blank" without any projects... and then closing it. It keeps starting with the crash message

Re: "Live Unexpectedly quit..." message for no reason
So I uninstalled LIVE and re-installed it. With the FIRST start-up I STILL get the message about a crash that happened on the previous session....
Can someone please help?

Did you try going to the crashes folder and delete any crash pack in here?

I cleared the whole folder but it didn't help.
If I delete the preferences file, it starts up perfectly the first time but as soon as the preferences file has been created, it starts with the crash report message

Re: "Live Unexpectedly quit..." message for no reason
So I deleted the "Indexer.txt" file and started up LIVE and quit again. The following error was listed in the regenerated Indexer file :
2020-04-30T08:51:27.105688: error: Exception while extracting metadata for file "E:\Documents\Ableton\Live Recordings\Temp-1 Project":
Any Ideas
UPDATE : I deleted that folder but still I get the message, this time without an error in the indexer file

Did you try bypassing your plugins directory in Live's Preferences?
Also, do you remember when this issue appeared?

The plugins folders aren't even selected. Plugins definitely aren't the issue here[jur] wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 9:34 amYeah, things take a bit longer currently... sorry.RedSkyRoad wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 5:59 amI have but they NEVER respond!!!Tarekith wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 1:44 pmYou're probably going to have to contact support@ableton.com.

Re: "Live Unexpectedly quit..." message for no reason
Hello,
I have the same exact problem since this morning but on MacOS
Was working on a project, Saved it and closed Ableton.
Had to rename the project folder.
Tried to reopen Ableton, told me there was an update.
Retried, and since it has been crashing every time. Tried restarting the computer, opening a blank and old project.
Same problem.
Any clue welcome
Thank you!
