What's the ONE native plug in you'd like to see added to Live.

It can be an upgraded version of what's there now, or something totally new. Instrument or audio effect, up to you. What's the one thing you find yourself wishing for over and over (or going to third party options for) when using Live?

Okay, I’ll bite first… For me it would have to be a transient shaper such as Transient Machines by Surreal Machines. This to me has long felt the most useful thing for sound design which is not natively included in Suite.
Granted, the Transients parameter in the Drum Buss effect does this, but it feels a bit too much like an automatic transmission whereas I prefer a manual. I tried the BitterSweet plug-in from Flux a few years ago and felt that it also has too much of a one-knob-fits-all interface. For control nothing has yet beat Transient Machines and its separate controls for attack and sustain.

Good answer, I too have wished for something like that

Yeah, unfortunately you did say only ONE…. I chose the transient shaper mostly because it is a bother to implement one well yourself. Besides, I would love to see what the good folks in Berlin might do with it given their penchant for panache

I would like to see a preset manager that had maybe 100- 1000 banks and 4 or 5 presets per bank that you could map to a foot controller.
I imagine it working like the boss gt series multi fx pedals.

For vocal recordings a nice De-esser could come handy. I also have Reason 11 suite and bought the Selig De-Esser for it as rack extension. That is the thing I miss in Live 10 suite........

I think mine would be an upgraded limiter. The current one is fine for tracking and mixing, but I'd like to see something for mastering that can be pushed a little harder if needed.

I would like to see all existing devices having undocked floating bigger versions.
Like a regular VST window, that won’t disappear when changing track focus.

To me a "classic" transient shaper is the first thing I thought of too.
Limiter could have a "Oversampling" option like EQ Eight.

I'd like the ability to see both devices AND a waveform in the Clip/Device View section for the selected track. Just split the section down the middle vertically from top to bottom.
I know I can achieve this by utilizing the 2nd window, but I'd like the option when using one window.
Floatable windows would also be welcomed, as would being able to resize/unfold the device view like one can with Wavetable.

I'll say it... Reverb.
That's probably the weakest link in the toolbox. For the most part i'm happy with the EQ8, Compressor, Delay and all the bread and butter processors.
I would like to echo the ability to at least have these floatable windows if for no other sane reason than to be able to visually see one tracks effect while also viewing another. This would be the BIGGEST reason I use 3rd party EQ and Scopes etc so I can adjust multiple on a screen at once.

I would like a plugin that would take the transients from an audio file and generate gates/hits that could be used to trigger say drums in a drum rack.
So if I had recorded a five minute track that was not in sync to the Ableton grid and wanted to add some drums in time with they audio file, they could be triggered form the original audio.
You can probably achieve this by extracting audio to midi but a real time plugin to generate hits/triggers would be quicker.

a all-in-one LFO/step modulator/shaper device - call it MODULATOR or something
Re: What's the ONE native plug in you'd like to see added to Live.
- dynamic multiband eq
- LUFS meter
- sticky note editor for everywhere
- an grafic based container to put effect plug ins and combine them not only in serial but complex pathways.
I am using third party plug ins for that.
horst
p.s.: Just pick the ONE you like most

A oscilloscope would be nice too.
