I love how this sounds.
The emotional intensity as the distorted melodies climax - love it.
It feels, to my ears, that it is begging for a subtle transition to another level in the second half.
I'm hearing some almost drum & bass like, liquid-y rhythms, but more subtle and covert, using more obscure percussive sounds, like other metallic hits and subtle and obscure but defined snare analogues. But not keeping a constant rhythm, and instead the beat comes in, pauses, comes in again, slowly swaying, but also breaking it up and adding some groove into it - if that makes sense to you?
Maybe you have something else in mind, or maybe you want to keep it how it is - whatever you decide I'm sure you'll make it sound good.
Keep it going!
