Live Looping - Help!
Live Looping - Help!
I want to record audio loops in a performance and play them back in session mode while using scenes to play backing tracks. So Scene 1 is the verse, scene 2 is the chorus.
Recording is being controlled using Softstep 2. So I'm looking for handsfree solutions.
The PROBLEM: I can't find an elegant way to rerecord a clip I messed up on while recording. The "new" button takes me to a new scene. I need to stay in the same scene! Or do I have multiple verse scenes created just in case I need to rerecord.
As far as I can tell, Live needs an overwrite clip feature to do this.

There is no easy way indeed. What I do is that I mapped cmd+Z on my controller (Akai Mpk 261).
Do you have m4l ? I have plans to make a device to delete last recorded clip.

If you’re interested in a max for live device just tell me, by the way.

Chapelier, How are able to map undo to a controller? I think the delete key mapped to a controller is what I'm looking for. I think Clyphx would do this, but costs some money.

Some controllers (very few) have this ability.

Re: Live Looping - Help!
ClyphX Pro & its extensions are worth the money for the many customised uses it can add ,
not least the ability to SPECIFY clips, tracks etc to perform actions on .
Mapping the Delete function (which is NOT UNDO! ) to a button could be dangerous in a live performance depending on
what Live considers selected at the time , you could easily delete a track, scene or device by mistake
(& would still need UNDO mapped to a button to remedy , catch22! )
