Using remotify

Post by firephly » Tue Aug 18, 2020 7:51 pm

I found this site that creates MIDI mapping scripts for MIDI controls to easily map MIDI in Ableton.
https://remotify.io/
Has anyone used this with their device? If so how have you implemented it? Does it work with Arturia's MIDI software?

This seems insanely wonderful.
Ableton should provide this.
Meanwhile, I'll have a look, thanks !!

Would you say it could be a good way to learn specific Python coding for Live ?

Possibly if you were able to reverse engineer the scripts that it generates. But its real purpose is to provide script control to surfaces that don't have them.

For instance I have an iRig Pads unit that has one slider (as well as the pads of course). Through Remotify I have created a script that re-purposes that slider to adjust the volume of whatever track is selected - Brilliant!
