Can you change the tempo of a midi item in arrangement view

Post by ricecrispies » Mon Aug 24, 2020 9:20 pm

I'm working on a rough draft of a song, and because of a mistake I made regarding the tempo of the main drum loop at an earlier stage, a midi recording of an improvisation in arrangement view is running a tiny bit slower than everything else and drifts out of sync. Is there a way to speed it up slightly so that it keeps the same tempo as everything else?

I found a solution. It wouldn't be precise enough in itself for finished piece of work, but it is good enough for my rough first draft.

I bounced the output of the midi track to a new audio track. Enabled warp on the audio track and altered the tempo. My project is set at 73 bpm. The drum loop had been at 73.06 bpm until I fixed it. So I changed the tempo for the new audio track to 72.94 bpm to compensate, and it is close enough.

When you select the notes in the piano roll you get a warp like marker on top of the selection line. You can use that. to stretch midi
