Audio files sticking upon loading?

Hi all, for some reason when I drag files from Mac to Ableton, it will glitch out and not let me drop the file into the session window. It does this maybe one in every 10 times I drag files into Ableton - mainly on MP3's that are 5 mins + in length (it happens when I do DJ mixes).
It ends up bugging the whole project and will not even let me close or save the file, I need to do a forced quit.

Has anyone else had this problem or know the solution? I've attached a video to show you what I mean. FYI in the video I am constantly clicking left and right on the mouse to see if it makes a change, but nothing happens.

Current specs are - Ableton 10.1.15 and MacOsx 10.15.4

Posted this back in July but no replies.. someone is bound to know whats causing this issue? Its really annoying.
