2 modes for midi arm record??

Just noticed something that I'm struggling to find any references to in the manual. clicking the arm record button twice gets you a different mode visually

what does this do?

If it makes any difference I am using a midi controller. Could it be related to the channels?

yeah I'm using a launchpad. Is it something tied to novation products?

I guess it's the implicit arm "feature".

Oh okay. Thanks. I found some info on it. Not sure why it wasn't in either manual :S
