I’ve been working with the Tchackpoum drum rack and due to the size (5 Gb), I’d like to convert the samples to flac. When I do this with sfz files, it’s just a matter of batch-converting the samples, then opening the .sfz in a text editor and replacing “wav” with “flac.” However, Ableton ADG files are binary and can’t be edited as text. And when I use the Missing Samples function in Ableton, it doesn’t seem to be “smart” enough to find the files if the extensions have changed.
This is a deeply sampled kit with hundreds of samples, so manually finding them one by one would be a really mind-numbing task. Any suggestions?

ADG is not really binary, they are actually gzipped human-readable XML.
Though it may contain binary data, for example, some plugins save binary data in their presets, like Serum (it can save the wavetable data on the presets).
Also, you don't need to gzip them later, you can just add .adg file extension to the xml file.
