Let's try this first and let me know.musikmachine wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 4:01 pm@jur i was a beta tester previously but i lost my old email/registration detials so i rejoined, can you grandfather me in on the side?
Public beta testers are accepted in batches as you may know, and atm the doors are closed since quite some people rushed in, but I'll help you with this if you can't get it back with the usual procedure.

Re: Live 11 is coming !!!
I saw "Use scales directly in Live’s MIDI editor" on the features list. However, it also states that it's "linked to Push".
I am not planning to get Push any time soon, but time is up for scales becoming a feature of piano-roll.
Anybody can confirm what is the way the scales are actually implemented in 11?

Re: Live 11 is coming !!!
I'm going to hazard a guess and say that it's going to be longer than usual for Ableton to be Apple Silicon compatible. Since v8 they have multiple company dependancies, AAS, Cycling 74 etc. etc. You'll notice people have noted that the AAS devices are not yet MPE, this is because AAS hasn't yet ported the stand alone plug ins that the Ableton versions are based on to support MPE. So although if I'm correct Max/MSP stand alone is already MPE capable etc. I wouldn't doubt that it's got to do some serious coding in the background to make it AS native.Mrkillface wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 12:23 amI'm curious how well the new Apple processors will work with Ableton Live. I've been waiting for the new Macs to launch so I could upgrade and now I'm in a weird predicament. I don't want to buy one and then not be able to make music on it. But at the same time, I don't want to buy last year's model when the new ones offer so much more performance per dollar in comparison.
Has anyone heard any word about whether Ableton is working on compatibility/optimization for the new Mac Chips/OS? And if so, what/when?
So unlike previous Apple transitions, I would guess this one takes them a bit longer. Obviously this is not super fun for end users, I'm on a 2012 MBP, and likely to buy as soon as the 16" AS model comes out, which will mean not using Live as my main DAW on that laptop until it ports...
Re: Live 11 is coming !!!
I'm on 9 because I haven't used Live for a while (creative coma?), and the upgrade price I'm offered is what I consider a nice price. I started with 8, so I remember all the updates I got. I also have the first Push, which was updated beyond what I would have expected. I'll get 10 to play around with right away, and then another little update sometime next year, which isn't a bad deal. I don't feel like you're updating too often - it's just me not using Live enough! Being bunkered up for the next few weeks means I need more varied stuff to do :)

Re: Live 11 is coming !!!
Does anyone know if Ableton Live LITE 10 users will be able to upgrade to Lite 11? For how much? I’ve heard the upgrade from 9 to 10 (only for Lite version) was free for Novation customer for example. Will there be anything similar?

Re: Live 11 is coming !!!
Not something I use, but if you select multiple clips, you can adjust their fades together IF they are at the same point in time. It's relative, not absolute. Remember that this is still a beta that's a couple of months out and this might change. If they can do that, then there's no reason they can't extend it.
I'm guessing there will be changes everywhere and there's certainly a lot of stuff I haven't read about or tried.

J/k!
Re: Live 11 is coming !!!
So I had to register the beta manually in my account after which Suite 11 was only activated. You will then also find the entry Live 11 Suite in the account.
