I have been curious as to how cool it would be to be able to have an audio device that can "send" the input signal from the channel it sits in to wherever else inside the same project using a similar "return" device.
Basically creating a bus link between two devices inside a Live project.
It would allow for some incredibly powerful and interesting solutions where a signal can be sent, split and merged into several channels. It would also allow for routing signals for specific purposes, such as mixdowns of several different mixes which could be rendered simultaneously.
Perhaps it would even be possible to create some exciting and unorthodox types of delay and other effects when you can feed back signals into the same channels, where it also can get split up between channels exactly as you please.
Basically, I see the possibilities as truly endless if I get to have cables running from anywhere to anywhere between and throughout all channels inside my Live projects.
